The cross of Jesus Christ (the meaning and not just a symbol)

Groom, Texas
Many people always use the symbol of the cross, if this is to show the identity of people who believe in Jesus Christ, as a lifestyle or simply as an ornamental (decorative). Many of us see people wearing a cross is used as necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets with the symbol of the cross, a watch with a symbol of the cross and so forth. But also the symbol of the cross used as decoration and home accessories. The question that should be pondered and answered is "Do we understand correctly and the cross?.” Is not something wrong or wrong if people wear the cross as a symbol of love, because Jesus Christ willingly on the cross because of His love to our humanity. Not mistaken also people wearing the cross as a symbol of safety significance, because for the cross of Jesus Christ we are forgiven and saved. Answers and some of these reasons in my opinion not very precise, because the cross is the symbol of self. The point is that the Lord Jesus Christ who gave Himself as a ransom for many. This is according to the Gospel of Mark 10:45 that: "The Son of man came not to be served but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many."
There are people committing crimes, immoral and a variety of acts contrary to the faith of Jesus Christ by using the symbol of the cross. I think this is an act of denial and not very acceptable to God. Because the cross is a symbol of self-giving of all good deeds and not giving themselves against the evil that is not desired by God.Giving yourself does not mean we allow ourselves to be treated arbitrarily by the evil one or mastered. Let us not forget that the Lord Jesus Christ did not let himself be treated as such. People believe in the Lord Jesus had to show and distinguish what is right and wrong. Giving himself also does not mean providing challenging myself to death or to die or "dare to die."
People doing demonstrations by not eating and drinking or the person who hid a bomb in his jacket and blew himself up to martyrdom, is not giving himself as a noble act of suicide but to no avail. People who always have a tendency to want to die or to die is a psychological disorder rather than as a pure act out of conscience. In Christian religious belief is not justified its members do suicide for reasons of religious interests. Lord Jesus Christ just before his death did not choose this path (to die for nothing sis) to give Himself as a ransom for many people, but he felt scared and points his blood dripping onto the ground (read in Luke 22 : 44 and 42). Give yourself is to provide himself with sincere and earnest to do what is good for many people, willing to overcome self-interest for the sake of others. Self-giving way that has been show to the world of the Lord Jesus is the way of giving yourself without fringe benefits or expect something from the man and the world, it is the gift of himself is giving himself a sincere and earnest for the human race. It's like that spoken in the Letter of Philippians 2:6-8 that: "..., He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. " Give yourself is a form of self-sacrifice for many. This is the meaning of the symbol of the cross who actually sacrifice themselves to do good for many people.
Lifestyles we are often influenced by the nature of self-assertion than in others. Christianity is a lifestyle may be a folly by the general norm. For in the Christian ministry is a ministry of giving, we give time, give money, give thanks and give all the souls and our lives for the service; and we do not obtain any benefit as our services. But Christianity is a lifestyle as a force of people who always hear the call of God. Strength lies in the attitude to want to give myself doing things that are pleasing to God and not to the darkness or evil.
Serving God and others is a form of self-compliance and this is the real symbol of the cross. It is contradictory if the person wearing the symbol of the cross, but do not like giving myself to do good, it is ironic, too, if there are people who wear the symbol of the cross if you do not want to humble themselves, will not budge, did not want to sacrifice and do not want to give away but just want to win themselves and indifferent to the interests of others. Let us not use the cross symbol for a thing that is hated by the Lord Jesus Christ, but wear a symbol of the cross for the joy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Theology authority

Theology does have such a vast movement for theology comes from God, from the Word of God. Thus, theology has the authority and power. Theology has the power to heal, to forgive, to assess and has the power to love. However, theology is something that is humane. Why say theology is something that is humane?, Why are people using theology to give teaching the Word, preach and explain the Word of God to other human as the target of preaching the Word of God. Preaching the Word of God is part of efforts to theology, so that with this theology of human effort will be more familiar with what the Word of God and the God who works in the totality of human life. God's Word also has a strong authority and the authority to assess the human understanding and how to apply God's Word in the context of everyday human life. Therefore, often it is the divine union with the humane thing or things that are God's authoritymingled with human authority.
In doing so, the authority of theology in practice through the works of the power of God that is by understanding, words, and actions of human beings. But people are always trying to interpret, and apply the Word of God in the manner and style of their own limited and even mundane. Is there a question in theology spoken and preached by man is truly pure theology of the Word of God?. Must be aware that human beings should not assert something that he said is not mixed with natural theology or claiming that he utters is a hundred per cent coming from God theology. In actualize the Word of God as the product of interpreting the Word of God must be true comes from the Word of God is not the word of man or the world. Definitely something that God himself would claim and decide whether spoken man in a theology that is true, good and true. But we realize, through a man's decisions and the will of God is actually carried out or reported in the reality of human life.
A concrete example of these dynamics, which tended to humans in preaching the Word of God is always saying the words such as the "gift of God" by His power and also the expression "Law". In the news people are always taught "we will obtain the blessings God both on earth or in heaven" for those who faithful to God, but "we will go to hell" for failure to faithful to God. The hazards to be generated from these expressions is a manipulation. Danger here is that there is manipulation of churches asserts that only through the church that one's sins can be forgiven. These expressions will be consecrated in church sermons given divine authority. Human and earthly things will be declared a saint and the sacred. If this really happens, then theology has been mixed human theology, religion, power politics even.
To avoid many of the above, the believer in Jesus Christ must always remember that the "Authorization" has been depicted and described in the Bible and through the expressions of the Lord Jesus Christ. Power that exists on earth is not something that ruling but as servants of God's Love. Existing power of the Christians is not the power to govern but a willingness to serve despite having to deal with suffering. Willingness to serve is an attitude to serve more people and even for the "Glory of God." Theology must say by all theologians of contextual theology, is intended to be preaching the Word of God as an effort to theology was really touched and accepted by the various realities of human life.
Good theology, good theology is that we speak through so many people will believe and follow Jesus Christ.

Mystery: Man as the Image of God and the Arts

In the life of faith of the believer from the first even to this day, there are various kinds of conversations about people from various viewpoints. There also are talking about human beings and their origins in the writings of books, articles, papers and others. This conversation continues to be, and various writings continue publication, even this debate so far seems unfinished. From the various conversations that apparently was filled with a myriad of human question mark or in other words, the man many mysteries. On the one hand, humans are creatures full of love and affection, but on the other side turns out humans are creatures who like to hurt, hate, slit, swearing, fighting and killing.
There was a period of time or, where there are human beings who want peace but at the time or the other there are people who want to fight and kill. This is a mystery that will never be answered or done on humans. Diverse viewpoints and a good assessment of science, technology, education and culture, which until now discuss and review of gestures human lunge and soccer . Similarly, we as Christians where the mystery man has been expressed and witnessed by the Bible. On the other hand testimony of the Bible to support what was found by the Science, culture and so forth. But otherwise, what is witnessed by the Bible as the Word and the Word of God can not be accepted and recognized by Science, culture and others.
Is this discussion need to always question? It should not, because of the way or point of view based on the biblical witness very different from the way or the other viewpoint. seen from the standpoint of biblical theology (God), while others wore their own perspective. As a good Christian and a believer of course we are not affected by various problems that never end about the mystery man from outside the biblical standpoint. What was witnessed by mankind in the Bible about the Old Testament (Genesis 1:1-28) that humans are the most special creation of God, because man is created by God according to God's image and the Arts (to show similarity in terms of man with God Pictures and Arts).
The similarity of the Divine should be expressed by humans in various forms, including: Obedience to God of human life and human work makes the divine work of God, the human effort to make better, because everything is good God's creation (Genesis 1:31), human efforts to perform all the duties and responsibilities given by God to him (Affairs of power which the people must rule, shall establish and maintain the earth, the family business in which men were given the right to live as husband and wife and have offspring, where the business needs of human life and be given sufficient rights to work in work in adequate necessities of life, business culture in which men should strive to help each other and love one another).

The authority of the Bible part three

On the other hand is often the verses in the Old Testament prophecies and was quoted as subject to Christ despite the imposition of the original looks completely different. It was concluded that, this freedom proves an understanding of inspiration is far more lenient than those typically associated with the Bible and writers. The aim is to provide a translation of the actual intent and not to provide translations of words. Because of these differences, which certainly is due to differences in structure and origin of language, it is often a more liberal translation closer to the original meaning rather than literal translations.
The question of quote the Old Testament prophets is more complicated, for here the whole meaning and its application somewhat changed. Indeed there is the idea, that with or without conscious verses have been charged incorrectly, because the authors seek detailed evidence from the books of prophecies about the Messiah from the office of Christ. Viewed at first glance this idea is understandable, because many of the verses quoted apparently in connection with the original text does not refer to the Messiah is not at all. But the Bible is a book even includes many writings. Because it's in the Bible there is a wider context than immediately. Can be said, the whole history of Israel centered and fulfilled in the history of 'Israel proper', and this can be seen in the history of the ways God works. For example the name of Rachel, who seems without foundation connected with the events in Matthew 2, reminding us of how often an attack, death and exile. If we look at this quote as the only direct evidence, this quote is not convincing. But if we see them in the broader relationship, the relationship with the aims and work of God, the last quote shows us the symbols and patterns which were fulfilled in the History of Jesus Christ.

We must be careful, do not interpret what the Bible says in the guidelines themselves, which are broader than the Bible itself. For example about the author and his time is often more is said by tradition than by the Bible. Sometimes surprising that the Bible does not say anything in this regard. We know very little about the collection of books containing the history of the Old Testament. We do not read about the timing and circumstances of the writings of some prophets (for example: Malachi). We do not know who the author of many of the Psalms and the Book of Job. We were not told that the author of Hebrews is Paul. The script itself does not say that Luke wrote the third Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles, or that John who wrote the fourth Gospel, although the view that Luke and John, who wrote his book, can be accepted by common sense. testimony of the Bible itself must be distinguished from the evidence of tradition. If not, we're easy to equate the authority of the Bible with the historical realities of the power provided outside the Bible. After all the above mentioned, it is necessary to say also, that the Bible clearly states it's from God, nature and the divine authority. By the light is said in Scripture that the word is from God. Stated that the authority of the Holy Spirit through human beings. Admittedly, that in the words of the prophets and the historical events that are told there is an influence from God. Not far-fetched a distinction between content and form of God's Word. Testimony of the Bible that the Bible is the written Word of God that requires us to believe it or not. If we are faced with the Bible there may be other reasons that may arise, but these basic guidelines can not be circumvented.

The authority of the Bible the second part

This paper is a continuation of the article titled " The authority of the Bible the first part."
Many sayings such as this. Everything with a light show, that Jesus himself acknowledged inspiration and authority of the written Word, especially the prophetic witness of the death and resurrection of His own. From the Gospel of John 14:26 and John 16:13 bright and promising that he expects the same inspiration in the testimony of the apostles who at that time was not kept. The testimony of the apostles of the divine authority of Scripture is equally bright. In all the Gospel of the heavy pressure put on the prophecies that have been inspired about the work or the Person of Christ. The Apostle Paul was a lot of quoting the Old Testament and preaching to their own people is proof of many of the Old Testament and the prophecies that Jesus is the Messiah. Expression in 2 Timothy 3:16 says with all the attitude of Paul's brief. Any translation that we choose, in paragraph 15 is manifest that the apostle Paul meant the Old Testament and the Old Testament, he said, that it was inspired by God. Writings of other apostles also frequently quoted the Old Testament, and in 2 Peter provided testimony on the inspiration of the Bible, is very similar to 2 Timothy. In 2 Peter 1:21 says, that the giving oracle is basically the Holy Spirit of God, 'because no prophecy ever produced by human will, but by the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, the people speak in the name of God'. Furthermore, in 2 Peter seems to have written instructions to the Bible as the authoritative word of which must be met with respect and humility. The last verse is attracting attention, especially because here is connected with the letters of other books. This plainly shows, how the apostles realized that they add and completes the Old Testament canon is authoritative. If we review the evidence in the Bible then we admit that the verses that say about the inspiration of the Bible is a little direct. And indeed there is no information about the nature or authority of any book in particular. but on the other hand we can remember, that all Old Testament books are directly quoted in the New Testament except Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Obadiah, Nahum, Zephaniah. And if we remember the attitude of the New Testament of the quotations were so manifest, that, words of the prophets 'So the Word of God' is considered applicable to the records of deeds of the prophets are also not only for spoken words in certain events. written word is recognized as a form of the inspired and authoritative revelation of God to give and continue.
Second, when we asked about the effect of this testimony arose several important issues. First: it can be noted that no one theory being taught about inspiration. Gospel of John 14:26 and 2 Peter 1:21 seems to say that there are two parties to work: namely the human who wrote, and the Spirit who inspires and watched. By itself can be no doubt, that ultimately the Spirit who has initiative and is mastered . But it also did not cause the impression, that omitted the writer himself and character. Moreover it can be noted, that inspiration is connected especially with the understanding the Old Testament writers about the work of God in the days to come. It certainly is a herald of a prophet, but the size of a proclamation is to determine whether it fits with the understanding the events that will come under the command of God, and that's the prophecy. Even in the Old Testament, a prophet who preached the prophecies that one must not be trusted. And the principal value of the New Testament from the Old Testament is, that the Old Testament prophesies of Jesus Christ. Testimony of the prophets strengthen guidance of Jesus, that he is the Messiah. Work of Jesus as the Messiah, the guidance also confirms the Old Testament as a prophecy. Much of the Old Testament quotations in the New Testament revolves around various forms of prophetic witness it.
The third thing is that history as expressed in the Agreement truth long recognized by the entire New Testament. For example the Lord Jesus never questioned the relationship of Moses and the law, or that David was the author of Psalm 110. The apostles received all the important events in the history of the Old Testament from Adam and his fall into sin (1 Timothy 2:13, 14) until the crossing of the Red Sea (1 Corinthians 10:1), events with Balaam (2 Peter 2 : 16), the fall of Jericho (Hebrews 11:30), salvation under the judges (Hebrews 11:32) and the miracles the prophet Elijah (James 5:17). Associated with this evidence never have thought, that the Lord Jesus and the apostles only accept the common view of the age and use of Old Testament events just to give an example for their theological teachings. But there is no denying, that the trust agreement covering long really trust the truth of his writings on history other than the truth of his writings on religion or dogmatic. Keep in mind also that if the Bible believed in the supervision and intervention of Almighty God, then there is no more tangible evidence and determine the oversight and intervention of God, instead of the central events in the Gospel, namely: life, death and resurrection Jesus Christ.

The authority of the Bible the first part

Our thinking about the authority and inspiration of the Bible must always start with the fact, that the Bible itself everywhere, demanding that the Bible is God-given right news. In this first part of our main tasks is to emphasize this fact and discuss its consequences. But there are some questions to be answered before. If we recognize the unique authority of the Bible , whether we should use the testimony of Scripture itself to strengthen the recognition of it ? If we make the Bible the first and final judges in their own problems, is not that obvious way to avoid that question? Do not we already assume that we have to prove ?
The answer is that in this case we do not read the Bible to solve the problem, but to seek enlightenment. Perhaps rational reasons can be advanced to maintain the uniqueness of biblical authority, but ultimately the authority of the Bible we accept by faith. We accept all the Bible itself in him. In other words, we just accept it because the inspiration and authenticity of the Bible is an (absolutely necessary) in the revelation of God. And just because we recognize that the Bible is the supreme rule for faith and life. If the Bible does not emphasize it earlier, we would not have believed it, and we also do not believe in general to all the teachings of the Bible . But if we are faced with the Bible as the authoritative Word of God, which demands the authority of the Word itself, then as well so we have to respond, so we can receive the Word was with his authority, or reject it.
Is there a tutorial on the authority of the Bible will it ? If so, what its meaning? The answer to the first question in such breadth, so that the difficulty was short-solid. In the Old Testament and New Testament authority contained guidance will which exceeds the authority of man, even in many places it is said with a straight and light. For example, Prophet Moses received from God's moral law but also commands a more detailed, until about the making of the Tabernacle. The prophets have always said, that they did not say their words alone, but the message given by God to them. Lord Jesus Christ spoke with authority, because he realized that he was not the only teacher from a time of course but the Son of God is eternal. The apostles did not hesitate going to the authority of their words, both when they quote the word of the Lord Jesus, and if they express and explain the Christian proclamation under the leadership of the Spirit that has been poured.
Maybe it could be objected, that authority is often required only for the publicity given, so it was not for the written notes which continue preaching it to us. It may be true of the prophets or Christ himself spoke with divine authority, but we have their word only through others. Even prosecuted for their inspiration does not mean that it is also being sued for people who collect records of deeds and their teachings. Thus there is no guarantee that the statements in the Bible is the statement that 'word for word' about the publicity that has been given. So that objection.
Against this objection we can say, especially in the New Testament by referring to the Old Testament, the authority actually prosecuted on which is written in the Bible. This is obvious in many places from the teachings of Jesus himself. He answered the devil three times with 'is written'. On top of the mountain where He is glorified He told His disciples, has written that the Son of Man must suffer and be killed. One whom the Jews who search the Scriptures He showed, that the Bible actually testify about Him. After he got up he explained to His disciples everything about himself from any holy book . He indicated that all things must be fulfilled' is written about me in the Torah of Moses and the prophets and the Book of Psalms.

Church , Theology and Pluralism ( Exclusivism or inclusivism )

In the Indonesian context, beliefs about God 's goodness childbirth preaching missions or tasks which accurately formulated with sub - themes : "Together with all components realizing Indonesia's plural society civilized , inclusive , equitable , peaceful and democratic society . "One concrete manifestation of faith in the goodness God is witness to all people through attitudes and good deeds for all regardless of Indonesian society may face truly become an inclusive society , fair , peaceful and demikratis .
1. Christianity as a Plurality the real title of this post is too large for a small sign and simple like this. Moreover, the competence of the author certainly limited enough to present all the intricacies of Christian Churches and his views on pluralism. In fact Christianity itself is identical to the plurality , although not all have explicit views or beliefs about pluralism. Generally recognized that the Roman Catholic Church is the first master of Churches Christians, in addition to the Eastern Orthodox Church . Then came the Church Protestant ( Lutheran and Calvinist Reformation ) , Anglican , Church Menonit ( Anabaptists ) , Adventist Church , the Salvation Army , the Mormon Church , Pentakostalis churches , and so on . Data June 2005 states that in Indoneis course, besides the Roman Catholic Church , 86 Protestant Church Synod gathered together in the Fellowship of Churches in Indonesia ( PGI , founded in 1950 ) , and 91 also take shelter in churches under Fellowship Gospel Indonesia ( PII , founded in 1971 ) . Not yet included in two large umbrella organization , the Adventist Church Seventh Day, Pentecostal Fellowship of Churches , the Orthodox Church Indonesia , the Salvation Army , and the Communion of Churches Tionghoa Indonesia . Can be said that Christianity in a single house , plurality is a fact that must be give and experience .
2. Christian Identity All members of the Churches of the above call themselves " people Christian " , following the tradition of the church in Antioch who first called "Christians " ( Acts 11:26 ) . Although details berdesa different , but all the churches that have a similar belief , that is to believe in Jesus Christ's Personal . Christian has special relationship with Jesus of Nazareth. The title " Christian "refers to on the belief that Jesus is " Christ "or " the Anointed "; and that He is Lord ( Kirios ) which means "one who 's leading and respectable " . So Christians believe that Jesus is The Christ and God, the Son of God and God. Jesus is principal source of faith and a Christian . Through Jesus , the work safety God accomplished for the world . For a Christian, Jesus not only " teach the way of salvation " , but first he " committed or implement it "through life , suffering , death, and resurrection. So , Jesus did not just "deliver the revelation of God, " more than that , "Jesus himself is the divine revelation " that. In that context, " faith " means that Jesus gave life on Yourself Christ and relying on Him as the strength , the basis and purpose of life humans . Christians rely on God as stated in preaching and deeds of Jesus Christ . Essence of preaching and deeds of Jesus is "the kindness and love of God "which stated to all people especially the poor , to those who miserable , despondent person , the person was captured, imprisoned people , those who are grieving , the sick , sinners , those who dropped out despair, and so forth . Christians believe that through kindness and God love it , everyone is withdrawn and collected in the kingdom of God . Repentance is a radical life change because of experience goodness of the love of God. That is, the experience of living Jesus and the goodness of God , precedes repentance ( cf. Luke 7:41-43 and 19:1-10 ) . Baptism is a sign of repentance , the and the rite of Christian baptism signifies a " kinship with Christ " , which is " alive to God in Christ " (Romans 6:11 ) . " Believe it and repent, " which is expressed in baptism is the work of God, not man's effort , because it is called a sacrament. Meaning The same baptismal rite was given a form different by each of the Christian Church . Personal Jesus as a " road safety " known by Christians through the Bible.
3. Institutionalization and Religisiositas Outline the main points of Christian faith of the above gain diverse forms as the set of people who believe to Jesus Christ institutionalized . In fact the meaning of " church " and the " church " the same course ( Greek : ecclesia ) . But the emphasis on style institutional fellowship of believers concerning the formalization of doctrine faith leads to a " Geraje " to get the narrow sense as an institution . It also involves the institutionalization of formal rites or liturgy , and various regulatory and organizational structure . From perspective that we find the first split between the church Katolok Rome and the Eastern Orthodox Church in the year 1054 simply because "the dispute the boundaries of Western and Eastern Church " , but also because of the problems particular theological . The split which occurred in 1517 when the following Martin Luther rejected the Catholic Church attitudes and practices that emphasize human actions in achieving salvation. In the year 1520 Martin Luther was excommunicated by Rome , thus paying Reformed Church Protestant . Then in 1534 the Anglican Church ( England ) separating themselves from the Roman Catholic church , because marriage is the second king Henry VIII rejected Rome , but slowly characters Protestants strengthened the Anglican Church . Such cleavages would going further and more extensive in the 19th century and 20th century . Born lot of Christian communities that the new , and all that obtain independently of the institution . Undeniable that It reinforces the split institusionalitas Churches , especially regarding the claims about truth and salvation . Each Church institutions claim to have a doctrine of truth , and only his church who became " via salutis "or road safety .
4 . Exit Exclusivism Christian churches have a very lengthy sejaran exclusivism . In third -century theologian Cyprian of Carthago writing that "Outside the Church there is no salvation . " these words intended as a warning to Christians in order not to leave the Church . With these words Cyprian also states that baptisms performed by heretics , heretics are not producing safety .... When Christian churches began to disintegrate , These words are used to attack each other and claim that the there is no salvation outside the Church altogether, and that only in communion with the Catholic Church one can enter heaven ( Council Florence , 1351 ) . safety restrictions within the Catholic Church " dissolved " by Martin Luther , Protestant church reformer , with teaches that those who wish to obtain safety must to meet Christ in the Church. But the Church is meant , of course not Catholic Church or an institution , but " the fellowship of people believe it . " Where are allied because people believe in Christ , there is the Church, and there too they earn salvation.
5. Inclusivism Awareness about the importance of the ecumenical movement and change of attitude formally to the religions of non-Christian first bloom among the Protestants than Catholics. As seen by Paul F. Knitter , about attitudes toward other religions , churches evangelical and fundamentalist Protestants flow to survive with exclusivism . They argue that Revelation and Truth in Jesus Revelation of replacing all other religions . Whereas Christian churches "main streams" such as Roman Catholic , Greek Orthodox , Lutheran , Reformed, Anglican and Methodist more open and saw Christianity as a "fulfillment" or "perfection" against other religions. Paradigm " replacement " limits of truth and universal love of God in Christianity , while the paradigm of "falsifies" open boundaries so that religion others had experienced the truth and love of God , but in particular only in Jesus After all that refined stub street .... New by the Second Vatican Council (1963-1965), the Roman Catholic Church consistently develop theological ideas about the relationship interreligious .

Volume 1 . The agreement parallels baptism with Noah ( the flood ) " Is it just that we are saved by being baptized ? " .

The agreement parallels Baptism with Noah ( the flood ) " Is the only way we diaptisan saved? " . Every church or denomination has its own doctrine or teachings about baptism . But the essence of the baptism was not the only one out of rescue plan God to man as His creation. Precisely such baptism placed foremost within the framework of the promise of salvation. In The New Testament is found there are parallels with the three essential great deal in the Old Testament . Seeing parallels nature Baptism in the New Testament with the promise of salvation in the old agreement ,among other things: a. Parallels baptism with Testament Noah , b. Testament baptism parallels with Abraham and c. Testament baptism parallels with Moses . The following will elaborated at length about the parallels baptism in Old Testament ( Noah ) . BAPTISM ALIGNMENT WITH NOAH AGREEMENT ( the flood ) . In the New Testament is in I Peter 3:18-22 says that: " For Christ also died once for our sins, He is true for people who are not true, that He might bring us to God, he that had murdered him in a state of being human, but which has been resurrected by the Spirit , and in the Spirit also went preach the gospel to the spirits in prison , that is to spirits of those who once were at the time of Noah was not obedient to God , when God is still waiting patiently for the time Noah was preparing the Ark. , where only a few , that is eight people , who saved by the flood. Also you are now saved by allegory , that baptism is not meant to cleanse impurity physical , but to invoke the good conscience to God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ , who sits on the right God , after He ascended into heaven after all the angels , the power and conquered the power of Him. " Testimony of this in I Peter 3:18-22 it can be understood that the meaning of baptism parallels with Noah Agreement namely, that Noah and his family safe in the ark, brought to the world new by a flood, drowning those who do not believe it. This is the form judgments of God upon sinners , and not believe , but the judgments of God is precisely to ensure safety those who obey and believe in Him . In this way then the Christians ( people believe) through the courts over sin , secure in Christ . The flood that hit the Ark of Noah , in which can not corrupt the Flood of Noah and the Ark can not harm the people ( Noah family ) is in the ark . This is equal and parallel to the court that struck the Lord God Jesus Christ , who died , was the right thing, replacing and protecting people who although innocent but want to surrender and take refuge Him. In this way , so now the Christian life in an atmosphere in which the risen Christ commanded. Deluge interpreted as a symbol of baptism . This is where the Christians live in new world . However , as stated in I Peter 3:18-22 , that not only because of baptism . Baptism does not have the power to soiling clean meat. But this power is in death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ , who received the through a personal appeal to God . Because it was a baptism for our is to present the validity of the new agreement and acceptance the gifts in it personally . Some people say when our baptismal splash - bulk way , submarine or an automatic dip saved, there is also a saying when we were baptized when we infant (children ) or when 17 years and over (adults ) then automatically we are saved . Actually, if we understand it is witnessed by I Peter 3:18-22 , it can be understood that survived or not we as believers is not in how or what age us in baptism and it was not the authority we as human beings, but it is the authority of God (man or people believe only invoke good conscience to God , everything is the authority God ) because of the power of baptism is in the death and resurrection Lord Jesus Christ , it means that who live , die and rise in the death and resurrection Lord Jesus Christ is the true power of baptism . What is the meaning we baptized one or more than one occasion we in baptism , if we do not live in Christ or are still controlled by desires of the flesh / carnal .
